A Big Milestone Ahead: Sozo Kyle’s First Sunday
We’re thrilled to finally share a date that has been prayed over, dreamed about, and prepared for—Sozo Church Kyle will officially launch on Sunday, February 15.
Our plan is to meet in the evenings, likely through the summer of 2026, creating space for families and meaningful community rhythms. While the format may look a little different than traditional Sunday mornings, our heart remains the same: to encounter Jesus together, equip believers, and send people into their Kingdom calling.
Launch Team Update: Strong, Ready, and Sent
One of the greatest encouragements in this season has been our launch team of 40 committed people. This group is praying, serving, giving, dreaming, and saying “yes” before there’s official public gatherings.
We’re deeply grateful for this team and confident that God is building something healthy and sustainable—not just for a launch day, but for years to come.
A Major Prayer Need: Our Location
One of our biggest remaining pieces is locking down a permanent meeting location.
Would you pray with us specifically for:
The right space (not just an available one)
Favor with owners and administrators
Clarity and peace as decisions are made
We believe God already has a place prepared—we’re simply asking for wisdom and open doors as we walk toward it.
A New Resource for the Sports Community

Christopher Sports Announcing Newsletter
Over the years, I’ve had countless parents, coaches, and young broadcasters reach out with questions about:
Filming and announcing setups
Audio and video gear
Live streaming and post-production workflows
How to get started in sports broadcasting
To better serve those conversations, I’ve launched a new, separate newsletter dedicated entirely to sports announcing and production:

This will be a place to share insights, practical tips, and behind-the-scenes lessons for anyone interested in sports media—from parents filming games to aspiring announcers. Feel free to follow along or share with someone you know may be interested.
A Christmas Reminder: The Superpower Effect book Is Still Available

The Superpower Effect on Amazon
With Christmas just around the corner, a quick reminder that my book is still available on Amazon and you can get it here. If you’ve been meaning to grab a copy—or gift one to someone walking through a season of faith building—now is a great time.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, read, and shared it. Your encouragement has meant more than you know.
Some Encouragement I’ve been Discovering
Don't despise the days where you stare at the page. You're not failing — you're forming.
There is a phrase in the art world that goes something like "light is white," insinuating that when life is "light" and without turmoil, the canvas stays white and no art is created. In other words, art needs inner friction.
However, I'm not sure this is so. I've heard there is scientific research that backs up the idea that the human brain is prone towards negativity stemming from the days when people had to scan the horizons for threats in order to survive. The idea is that your brain wants to drift towards approaching life as a problem to be solved. Yet, at the beginning of mankind, when God created Adam and Eve and put them in the garden, the mind was far from needing to troubleshoot what was wrong. Instead, opportunity was at every turn. I believe when the Apostle Paul writes "renew your mind," it's to this original state of the mind he's referring. This means that the actual origin point for the brain is not born in a critical condition but rather a victorious one.
The implication here is that art (or anything else that builds and produces life) can come from peace and steadfastness. Therefore, if you find yourself in a winter season of sorts, don't assume that you're stuck and a failure - and that this is somehow necessary in order to produce. Instead, embrace the idea that you're slower pace is actually forming you.
